Sufficient Grace

God is so amazing! That "peace that passes all understanding" was so evident today as Dwayne, his parent, and I walked thru the day. Some friends and family met early in the morning to pray at the hospital. Dwayne's was wheeled away just after 9 AM. At around 12:30 the surgeon appeared and informed us that surgery was over and things had gone well. The tumor was sent to pathology for testing and those results will be revealed in a weeks time.

During the hours while we waited I can honestly say that I felt an uncommon quiet and peace inside that I know came from my heavenly Father. It was so good to be surrounded by friends and family, especially those who came to pray outside the hospital. I truly believe that God was glorified in what happened today. We really see God's hand guiding and shaping circumstances so that the surgery would occur.

Now the path to recovery from surgery begins. Please pray that this will be swift, that we will not be impatient, and that our witness will be strong amidst all.

Dwayne, just wanted to say how good it is to hear the surgery went well. Zoe told me tonight that she's very happy Pastor Dwayne's operation was okay. Keep up your strength and all that good stuff. God bless, we're all praying for you and your family.

Darlene and I had the chance to visit Dwayne today in ICU; snuck in the back door. As we entered, Dwayne was actually having some concern breathing; that quickly passed. I have learned so much through Dwayne's ministry as I worked beside him for 2 1/2 months; my final thought; Dwayne you have more faith than 500 people. Press onward and upward my friend. You have taught me much about faith, grace, perseverance and love for mankind. Ladies and gentlemen, I Cor 13 is correct, the greatest of all is LOVE.

Dwayne & Janet-
I sat overlooking the incredible beauty of God's creation this morning in Waskesiu, and was reminded again of His love for all that He has put His hand on. What does it take to keep me mindful of His purposes and His plans? Sometimes it is the gentle touch of a sunrise on the water, and other times it is the sharp inhale as life (which insists on being lived!) hits me between the eyes.

Your family has been in our thoughts and prayers so much this week - a time full of bittersweet moments -remembering your Mom's life, and anticipating/dreading/getting through the surgery on Wednesday.

Thank you for allowing others to come alongside and share this journey with you. A strange thing, God's economy...where nothing goes to waste.

We are with you in prayer,
Caralee,Dave and the boys

In this world I walk alone with no place to call my home
But there's One who holds my hand
The rugged road through barren lands
The way is dark, the road is steep
But He's become my eyes to see
The strength to climb, my griefs to bear
The Savior lives inside me there

In Your love I find release
A haven from my unbelief
Take my life and let me be
A living prayer my God to thee

In these trials of life I find
Another Voice inside my mind
He comforts me and bids me live
Inside the love the Father gives

In your love I find release
A haven from my unbelief
Take my life and let me be
A living prayer my God to thee
take my life and let me be
A living prayer my God to thee

I was listening to this song today and you came to my mind. I felt like I needed to share it with you. I feel like your journaling is a living prayer, we are all living a bit of your life through your blog, we are catching a glimpse of you and your prayers to God and it is a powerful thing. Praying for a quick recovery and also for strength and endurance during this time. Take care.

Tanya
